How come smoking
is not allowed in the pool/jacuzzi area? It's outdoors so my smoke wont bother people.
The problem with the smoking isn't necessarily
the smoke, it's the litter that smokers constantly leave behind such as cigar/cigarette butts and boxes. All too often these
remnants are left all over the concrete decking in the pool/jacuzzi area, the wind blows them into the pool, jacuzzi and surrounding
landscaping. They clog the filtration system that services the pool and jacuzzi, and make the general area dirty. People walk around
barefoot when using these ammenities and don't want to step in your mess. There are "No Smoking" signs posted in the pool area, please
abide by the rules so your pool can be clean and safe this season.
Can I prop the pool/jacuzzi area gate open so my friends can
come over and get in?
No. The people at Sierra Pointe pay for the maintenance and repair on the pool, buy the keys necessary
to get into it, and therefore, the pool should be reserved for their use alone. The rules are in place, not to be unfair to residents,
but to protect their investments in the pool/jacuzzi area.
Is diving in the pool allowed?
No. The pool is only 8 feet deep.
It is very dangerous for people (especially full-grown individuals), to dive into the Sierra Pointe pool because of the increased
risk of injury.
Why does the pool close at 10 PM every night?
People live right next to the pool, and over summer the pool
area generates a lot of noise. So to comply with Sierra Pointe's noise regulations, the pool hours are from 8 AM to 10 PM.
I
work the late shift and when I come home around midnight I would like to relax and use the pool and jacuzzi. The hours of the
pool are very inconvenient for me. Is there any chance that the pool could be opened for 24 hours instead?
This will not happen.
If the HOA board allowed the pool to be open 24/7, it would be in violation of its own noise regulations.
I would like to have
a pool party. Is there any way I can "rent" the pool for the day?
No.
