Who really cares about what I have on my P/B/D?
If your P/B/D is an icky mess, everyone
around you does! And they should, because that mess you leave out there actually lowers property values (that means your unit is worth
less with the trash sitting out there than without). Remember, you aren't the only person within eyeshot of your P/B/D, your
neighbors and potential condo-buyers can see it, too.
Can I keep my trash can on my P/B/D?
No. It attracts pests such as
rodents and bugs, it smells, it's unattractive and it is against our covenants.
I have an old futon and a recliner I'd
like to use outside on my P/B/D, is that okay?
No. We're trying to reduce the "Clampet" factor in our complex, folks. This type
of furniture, like trash cans, attracts unwanted pests, smells when it gets wet, and is usually the type of furniture the owner thinks is
in a poor enough condition not keep it inside their unit anyway, so why the heck would the rest of us want to see it? Patio furniture
can be relatively inexpensive and better-looking than the old futon anyway, if you know where to shop.
I have an awesome
collection of tires, can I leave those on my P/B/D?
No.
I put my bag of trash out in front of my front door so that the
next time I leave my unit I'll take it to the dumpster. Is this a violation?
You bet it is. Storing trash anywhere outside
your unit except within the confines of a dumpster is a violation. If you can't stand to have that trash in your unit, do you really
think your neighbors want to view and smell it? Beyond being a violation, it's just plain rude.
Is it okay if I let Feefee
poop and pee on my P/B/D?
No.
