Emergencies

Should I page the property manager in the event of a fire?

No! Dial 911 and get the fire department there immediately.

If my neighbor's condo is being broken into should I page the property manager?

No! Dial 911 and get the CSPD there immediately.

My car was just broken into, should I page the property manager?

No! Dial 911 and get the CSPD there immediately.

If my toilet or sink had a backup, should I page the property manager?

No. Call a plumber. You need to have a professional assess where the backup originated before you even consider contacting the HOA. All too often residents call the Property Manager demanding that a plumber be sent out to fix this type of problem, and become greatly disappointed when they find out that the Property Manager wont do it. You are solely responsible for maintaining the plumbing that services your condo.

I'm a renter and my shower is leaking, can I page the manager?

No. Call your landlord.

My building's water heater is leaking and water is seeping through the wall my condo shares with the water heater room, should I page the property manager?

Yes. This is not a limited common element (used only by you), so it is the HOA's responsibility to maintain it.

The landscapers just ran their riding lawnmower into my patio wall and knocked it over, should I page the property manager?

Yes.

Sierra Pointe residents truly need to understand the governing documents of our association in order to make some of these decisions wisely. If you are unsure or unclear about something, you can always ask!       askepointe@gmail.com
